Barn Light in the Bedroom?

This is a busy weekend for my work so I have to be short today.  I will let the pictures do all the talking.

I hated this old fan in my guest bedroom.

I found this barn light at a thrift store.  I purchased a $14.00 pendant kit at Home Depot and a big Medallion at Lowes.

I have seen tons of these lights all over blog world in kitchens and bathrooms.  I love them.  I wondered what it would look like in a bedroom.  Red is the accent color in my guest bedroom so I thought it would look fun and “vintagey” in there.

Here is what it looks like in the room.

I really like it.  Its simple yet fun.  I do want to get a large Edison bulb and I need to get a table fan for the dresser.
