The most fun thing at a wedding is a photo booth. You can rent an actual photo booth which can kind of be expensive or you can do it yourself. This Bride wanted to do it herself…so this is what we came up with.
Here is what we used to make it happen:
- Coffee Table to hold the props – The venue had it and let us use it – Free
- Vintage Suitcases – two of them were borrowed and one was bought for $10 at a flea market.
- Props – A few thrift store vests, feather boas, fun hats, sunglasses, mustache sticks and random thrift store props. We borrowed, crafted and bought. We spent about $25 on props.
- Coat Rack: I found this coat rack for $3 at the Mountain County Homes of Hope and $5.00 for the spray paint.
The coat rack looked like this:
After some primer and a bottle of Oil Rubbed Bronze..it was ready to hold some hats and boas.
We filled the suitcase on the coffee table with some fun costumes:
We stacked the two others and filled the top with some of the props:
We stacked the table with my library drawers from my craft storage and a modge podge of glasses, old magazines, an old camera found in the bride’s grandparents house and some leftover roses from the brides bouquet.
Here is another view of the finished product:
It was at the end of the porch hallway that went into the men’s locker room. It made a normal corner stand out.
I loved the back drop because its unique. I think the brother spent about $20 on it because all of the wood was free. He took the middle part out and the slatted part is now the bride’s headboard.
Who took the pictures? The photographer was paid to stay at the reception and she set up shop (after she had gotten all the normal reception shots) and she took pictures.
The total for the photo booth: $50 dollars. Of course the photographer was paid for this but that was all in the budget for the photography.
I had alot of fun, I took a few pictures myself. Have a Happy Monday!
